Prepare for study and life at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences!
If you are an international student, and you need additional preparation and support in English or foundation subjects to complete undergraduate or postgraduate study at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences, then the Foundation Programmes with Intensive English Language course, based on the IELTS exam style, offered at Wittenborg can help you develop the skills and knowledge to succeed in your degree.

The foundation year concept at Wittenborg is simple:
Pre-Bachelor's: Foundation Modules of the Bachelor of International Business Administration, together with intensive lessons of Academic English. Minimum IELTS level 5 required for entry.

On successful completion, students will be awarded an IBA Foundation Year Certificate and progression to the bachelor's degree programme, with exemption for all IBA credits already achieved.

Pre-Master's: The pre-master's programme is designed specifically for students who have completed a bachelor's degree but are not yet qualified to start their master's at Wittenborg. This is often the case when students have not studied a bachelor's in the domain of economics management or hospitality and tourism, or have followed the bachelor's programme that does not conclude with a research paper or a dissertation. Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is based in Apeldoorn and Amsterdam.

MAIN CAMPUS APELDOORN
Wittenborg was established in the historic hansiatic city of Deventer in 1987, opened by the mayor on September 21st 1987. In the summer of 2010, the University of Applied Sciences was invited by the municipality of Apeldoorn to move into a state of the art, purpose built facility within the public college Aventus. Wittenborg opened its new location, on the south side of the Apeldoorn central railway station in September 2010.

In September 2015 Wittenborg opened its second Apeldoorn location at Spoorstraat 23, a unique and historic school building situated in the centre of the new university square created by the city to the north of the railway station.

In July 2022, Wittenborg will moved from the 'Aventus' building into the Brinklaan building, which is located right next to the city center.

Only 10 minutes is required to walk between both campus locations. In Apeldoorn Wittenborg has grown to over 1200 students from more than 100 nationalities and because of its international character it takes pride in offering al its students quality student housing within its own campus accommodation in the centre of the town, as well as in own managed student apartments close to the university.

STUDY IN AMSTERDAM
The Amsterdam Campus is situated close to companies, business, tourism and cultural heritage. Study in Amsterdam is an exciting dimension to the Wittenborg experience and students following the business and entrepreneurship programmes there often live in the city and combine their studies with business start-ups for which Amsterdam is famous. The study location is within a state of the art business complex close to public transport and the international airport of Schiphol. Students can make use of the academic library facilities of Amsterdam, a city that counts for over 140 thousand students.

Student accomodation is generally equipped with a communal living space, kitchen facilities such as a fridge, microwave, cooker and utensils, as well as a shared bathroom and Internet connection. Basically everything you need is at hand! Most of the bedrooms are single bedrooms however sometimes you have to share a large bedroom with another student. The housing is mostly located within walking or cycling distance of our campuses.

At the present time Wittenborg’s student accommodation include individual studios, apartments for 3 to 5 students and houses in which up to 6 students share facilities. On this subject, we would like to share with you some good news!

New in Apeldoorn!
For international students coming to study at Wittenborg's Apeldoorn campus in the Netherlands, we have recently made more student housing available.

Wittenborg spent the past months completely renovating a centrally located property into a spacious living complex for 34 students. This new location is located in the heart of Apeldoorn City (De Ruyterstraat) and just at walking distance from the main campus.
